         THE REDMOUNTAINROCKS STORY

Southwest casual, southwest cool, southwest  comfortable. Every day, any night...

It was a few years ago but I remember it well. For my wife's birthday I decided to make a necklace for her. It was an amethyst chip necklace and even though I had no idea what I was doing she loved it. So, I made another one. Then the next year I made a couple more pieces for her. Her friends seemed to like the necklaces, in fact a lot of people liked the necklaces my wife was wearing. Several people ended up buying the necklaces, bracelets and earrings I was making.

The pieces I make have evolved over the years. I have begun to use different kinds of glass in my work. Glass brings so many choices in color and shape. And there is a stone that has taken a place of prominence in my works lately, coprolite, fossilized dinosaur poop.

Redmountainrocks jewelry is comfortable, at home by candlelight or campfire, in blue jeans or a black dress.

Nearly all natural stones have been purported to possess some metaphysical property, power or energy.  Learning about the properties of the stones is something I enjoy and that information is often included in the description of the pieces. Every now and then there may even be a little story or legend about a particular work.

All of the necklaces, bracelets and earrings by redmountainrocks are handmade by me in Mesa, Arizona using wire and high quality findings, again, no plastic or string.

Welcome to Redmountainrocks, please look around, let me know what you think.
