This necklace began with the pendant. The red is so rich and earthy below the gray stripe of quartz. It almost looks like a desert landscape. The red jasper and rutilated quartz chips work together and the rutilated quartz beads stand out, all brought together with copper hardware and adjustable chain closure. With its double section of double strands, this necklace is a bit longer than most at 20 inches minimum length adjustable up to about 24 inches.

Rutilated quartz is quartz with inclusions that look like strands of metal that give it a character all its own.
